Reflecting on 2023: a truly monumental year for WFFT, marked by amazing collaborations and our largest rescue effort yet. There is much to do in 2024, and we have big plans to create a better world for injured, exploited, and abused wildlife in Thailand.
Great News for these Endangered Little Apes!
A few days ago, April, a 9 year old female white-handed gibbon who was rescued in 2009 (she has been brought at WFFT wildlife hospital by thai people who took her from market in Kanchanaburi, where she was apparently going to be eaten), and Whiskey, a 10 year old male white-handed gibbon rescued in 2009 too and who was kept as family pet, moved from their forest enclosure to a brand new Island in WFFT’s Project 4. What a joy to see them swinging, singing, eating, playing and just resting in their new home, next to Nemo’s island and with Malai Ngun, Chok Dee and Alicia (3 of our elephants) walking around.
