During a routine check-up, a small lump was found on Kawao — a reminder of just how crucial regular health screenings are. Early detection can make all the difference.
Oscar – The First Patient at our New Wildlife Hospital!
We’ve started treating animals at our new hospital, with our first patient being Oscar, a Malayan sun bear needing care for a poorly paw. The X-ray machine is now up and running in the radiology room, new outdoor enclosures have been built, including one for four orphaned baby macaques.
But there’s still more to do. We’re finishing the recovery room, preparing to build a secure perimeter fence, and still need an anaesthetic machine and monitoring equipment for the second surgery room.
This progress is only possible because of our incredible supporters. If you can help us complete the hospital, please consider a donation.
