After three weeks of dedicated care at the WFFT wildlife hospital, Wang, a wild long-tailed macaque from a local temple, successfully recuperated and was released back to his habitat.
One Little Guy Found Far From Home…
Yesterday, the WFFT Rescue Team went to the Phetchaburi Livestock Department to collect a Sunda slow loris (Nycticebus coucang) that had been found by the side of a road in Phetchaburi. As this species is not known to live in this area he may have been a ket as a pet and then dumped He seems in good health and is rather aggressive so we assume that he has recently been caught from the wild. We will hold him for a while to assess his suitability for release. Hopefully this little guy can once again become wild. We will keep you updated.
