Reflecting on 2023: a truly monumental year for WFFT, marked by amazing collaborations and our largest rescue effort yet. There is much to do in 2024, and we have big plans to create a better world for injured, exploited, and abused wildlife in Thailand.
New Year, New Friends!
We rescued Harriette a few weeks ago and have since paired her with Lucky. Before they met, Harriette would scream and scream until someone came to check on her. She would then try to grab us through her enclosure. Now that she is with Lucky, she is a lot quieter and calmer. She doesn’t desperately seek out human attention anymore. She didn’t get in her pool at all when she was alone but is now swimming with Lucky. She also watches Lucky closely and seems to be picking up on some social behavior and cues. If Lucky spots something interesting, Harriette will follow to investigate. They are quite a cute pair!
