A northern pig-tailed macaque and a stump-tailed macaque both rescued from Koh Samui are begining their new sanctuary lives.
Moving Rescued Monkeys To New Enclosures
Nine monkeys have moved to the developing coconut monkey sanctuary!
We are so excited to share that nine male pig-tailed macaques have made the big move to the new side enclosures.
The side enclosures are connected with tunnels, allowing these boys some get-to-know-you-better time whilst we finish off the beautiful open field the enclosures are attached to.
Ending the use of intelligent, social primates in the coconut industry is a long-term project. The first 17 side enclosures are now complete, but we need many more to keep up the momentum and to rescue the many still waiting for their second chance.
Can you help and be part of this ambitious project? Any and every donation helps more coconut-picking monkeys reach safety and brings us one step closer to ending this exploitation. Find out more.
