Ivory openly for sale in Phuket

Our WFFT founder Edwin Wiek is currently in Phuket and has visited a few jewelry shops and outlets and found that ivory is openly sold to foreign tourists, especially Chinese citizens. This is contrary to Thailand’s promise to stop the illegal ivory trade, and shows once again that a “legal” trade in ivory cannot be enforced.
