This female loris came from about six hours south of WFFT. Our vet team rushed to pick her up as soon as we could. The wounds are really bad and right now, it looks like we will have to amputate the leg and arm. The electric shock was so bad that it has burnt many of the tendons and much of the muscle in two of her limbs. The wounds are also necrotic. We are doing all we can for her but sadly, it is looking unlikely that the limbs will heal.

ลิงลมตัวเมียตัวนี้ถูกพบอยู่ห่างจากมูลนิธิเพื่อนสัตว์ป่าประมาณ 6 ชั่วโมง หลังจากได้รับแจ้งทีมสัตว์แพทย์ของเรารีบเดินทางไปรับเพื่อนำกลับมารักษาต่อทันที เบื้องต้นเราพบว่าแผลจากการโดนไฟช็อตนั้นรุนแรงทีเดียว หลังจากทำการรักษาและดูการติดเชื้อแล้ว ไฟช็อตทำให้เส้นเอ็นไหม้และกล้ามเนื้อแขนขาเสียหาย ทำให้มีเนื้อตายบริเวณบาดแผลมาก เราจำเป็นที่จะต้องตัดแขนและขาที่ไหม้ของน้องทิ้ง เราจะพยายามทำทุกอย่างที่ทำได้เพื่อช่วยรักษาชีวิตลิงลมตัวนี้เอาไว้ แต่ช่างน่าเศร้าที่เราคิดว่าแผลตรงแขนและขาไม่สามารถรักษาได้
