New Arrival – Tanya the wild boar, from Tha Yang
Meet Tanya – the wild boar who refused to be dinner.
In Thailand, wild boar are commonly raised for meat – but Tanya had other plans. This fearless boar from Tha Yang made the ultimate escape, slipping away from captivity and dodging a very grim fate. Luckily, local authorities caught her and, wanting to give her a good life, brought her safely to WFFT.
Tanya isn’t just a survivor – she’s a symbol of resilience. Full of spirit and snout-first curiosity, she’s already busy exploring her new home like she owns the place.
At WFFT, Tanya will spend the rest of her life doing exactly what wild boars do best: rooting, roaming, and living free from harm.
Welcome home, Tanya – you’re safe now.
