SIX New WFFT Residents – More Sugar Gliders

Sugar Gliders Are Truly Terrible Pets

The sale of exotic pets like sugar gliders is widespread in Thailand. The best way to help is simple: don’t buy them. Every sale fuels the cycle. Our six recent arrivals are aggressive and bite. They most certainly don’t make good pets. We’ve separated them by sex to prevent further breeding.

These tiny marsupials are native to Australia and Indonesia. They don’t belong in homes or cages. Their complex needs cannot be met in captivity, and when they aren’t, the animals suffer.

Until laws change to stop these animals being bred and sold in the wildlife trade, we must raise awareness and reduce demand. Let’s keep them wild, where they belong.
