After three weeks of dedicated care at the WFFT wildlife hospital, Wang, a wild long-tailed macaque from a local temple, successfully recuperated and was released back to his habitat.

Captain sustained deep cuts and injuries to his body, face and eyes. Captain is in our wildlife hospital, receiving the care he needs. This older male long-tailed macaque lives in temple grounds around 45 minutes away from the WFFT sanctuary – luckily for him, a kind nun saw his suffering and called our vet team to urgently rescue him and to try and save him. When we arrived at the temple, he was huddled in a corner in a roof, completely incapacitated. He desperately needed help.
