Watch the video of Nam Phon's emergency caesarean and Simba's birth. If Nam Phon had been left out in the wild on her own, both her and her baby would have died.
We received a telephone call from the police department in the village next to WFFT. An injured slow loris had been found inside the building seeking refuge after either sustaining burns from electrical wires or from a forest fire. The WFFT Vet Team cleaned him up and he has been recovering very well over the last few days. We are experiencing an extreme hot dry season at the moment; animals have to venture out of the forest in search of food and water. We are hoping ‘Police’, as we have named him, makes a full recovery. Once the rains have started he will be released back to a protected area and hopefully stay away from humans.
