This poor macaque was electrocuted and then fell to the ground where he was attacked by dogs.

Elephant, Alicia has been at WFFT for four years. Before this, Alicia was forced to work in a trekking camp for giving rides to tourists.

Mickey arrived in July with a broken leg & many wounds. He was recently successfully released back to the wild following his rehabilitation.

31 August marked this 70-year-old elephant’s first anniversary at WFFT, where there are no more rides, and no more chains.

This is Tao getting a health check. Tao is one of the very handsome long-tailed macaques recently re-homed from the zoo in Koh Samui.

Five monkeys, all with unique and terrible pasts, are now living together as a family. Introducing you to the babies: Lily, Gwarn, Somchai and Im Un, and their new foster mum, Pitcha.

Zeus not only survived his terrible electrocution, but this strong-willed boy has since been released back to the wild.

This young macaque is a wild monkey who was tragically electrocuted. Three of her limbs were burnt beyond possible repair.

Iguanas are, unfortunately, popular pets in Thailand. He will be a permanent resident at WFFT as we cannot release him into the wild.
