Chok Dee and Jele Update

Do you remember the rescues of Jele and Chok Dee early last month? They have both been slowly introduced to another one our elderly residents, Rung Thip, this little mini herd are getting along very well. We have now transferred them to a larger forested enclosure in the ‘Midlands’ area of the WFFT Elephant Refuge, which is interconnected with enclosures housing other members of the WFFT elephant family. As you can see from the pictures the ladies have settled in well, and are enjoying exploring their new surroundings. The other residents of this area of the refuge were very welcoming to their new neighbors, including baby Pin, the youngest member of our elephant family. Could this be the making of an even bigger social group of elephants?
