International Tiger Day – dark reality behind tiger tourism

Demand fuels animal abuse ภาษาไทยด้านล่าง (see video below)

As long as tourists want to watch tigers jump through hoops of fire, and to take selfies – the abuse is unlikely to stop unless animal welfare laws change first.

WFFT actively investigates the illegal wildlife trade to bring about change, but we all need to be part of that change. One day in the future, it will not be ok to do this to animals. Perhaps humanity will look back in 100 years and be horrified at how we treat animals today. The situation for these animals is even worse right now because these cruel venues have less tourists and income as a result of the pandemic. So join us today, on #InternationalTigerDay, by sharing this video and raising awareness of this abuse, the need for change, and perhaps together we can bring that day when this is no longer tolerated, closer.

The dark reality behind tiger tourism
