WFFT Hosts 2025 WARN Asia Conference
Wildlife Friends Foundation Thailand (WFFT) was proud to host the 2025 Wild Animal Rescue Network (WARN) Asia Conference in Hua Hin (10-12 Nov 2025), bringing together nearly 100 participants from 20 countries and over 50 organisations.
The theme for the conference was ‘To Protect and Manage Wildlife’.
The three-day event was a vibrant hub for sharing experiences, building partnerships, and exploring practical solutions to challenges facing wildlife across Asia. Participants discussed issues ranging from macaque and pangolin conservation, to human–wildlife conflict, and wildlife rescue and rehabilitation.
Speakers shared inspiring case studies and fieldwork from across the region, highlighting innovative programmes that are making a real difference for wildlife. Workshops focused on topics such as data-driven approaches to animal care, strategies for managing human–wildlife conflict, and tackling the illegal wildlife trade.
The conference fostered discussions and collaborations between organisations, field teams, and government authorities – strengthening Asia’s collective capacity to protect and manage wildlife.
The 3rd day concluded with closing remarks from WFFT Founder and Director and WARN President Edwin Wiek, and a farewell dinner at WFFT’s I-Love-Phants Lodge. On the 4th day, participants had the opportunity to tour WFFT’s facilities.
The WARN Asia Conference 2025 demonstrated both the challenges and opportunities in wildlife protection, and WFFT is honoured to support ongoing efforts across the region.
