Another injured and treated monkey goes home!

Another happy return home

“Jim” is a female long-tailed macaque that got hit by a car near Khao Wang mountain in Petchburi city. “Jim” was in a very bad physical state when our mobile rescue team went to pick her up for treatment, but a small miracle occurred and she got better. After a a bit more than a week she was fit and strong enough to go back home, to her troop. After locating her troop she was released by our staff and went back to see her friends.

Long-tailed macaques often live near human settlements as their habitat has declined over the last few decades. WFFT has a policy to release all wild animals back to the wild where possible.
